Shox: “My goal is to focus on myself and become the best”

Member of Team Vitality CS: GO Richard shox Papillon told how he copes with changing roles. The esportsman said that he still feels out of place and is trying to help the team as a captain during the games.

Richard shox Papillon:

“I really like the role that I am currently playing in the team, but I still feel as if I were out of place. After coordinating the game since 2016, it becomes more difficult and slower to switch to the role of an ordinary player. I talked about this with the coach yesterday. He believes that I think too much as an in-game leader, trying to help the team with tactics and so on. Now my goal is to concentrate on myself and become the best, as far as I am able individually. I agree that if I focus only on myself, then my results become better. So I’m still working on a role change. To be honest, I didn’t think it would take so long. I thought I could handle it in two to three weeks, but for me it’s still somehow unnatural. One of my main goals at this [StarSeries & i-League CS: GO Season 8] tournament is to work on myself in this regard. ”

On September 28, Papillon joined Team Vitality, where he replaced Nathan NBK Schmitt. Prior to the transition, he was captain at G2 Esports. After the transfer, the team took second place at DreamHack Masters Malmö 2019, losing in the Fnatic final with a score of 1: 2.
