Cache card developer: We didn’t want to change everything drastically

One of the Cache developers for CS: GO, Sal Volcano Garrozzo, explained why the card was sent for recycling. In an interview with HLTV.org, he also identified the reasons for some of the changes.

In other words, familiarity with CS: GO is both good and bad. Even the smallest deviations from the classic CS immediately catch your eye. MP-5 is now called MP-7, but it’s still the same “don’t kill me, pliz, that’s all I could buy.” TMP has now replaced MP9. Ragdoll physics after death no longer makes your eyes bleed. And for some reason you can’t attach a silencer to the M4.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a logical continuation of previous versions of Counter-Strike. However, weapons are not so bad. Of course, you can live a full life without the exact restoration of MP5 from the beginning of the two thousandth, but not mindless copying, but a system of interaction between players soars a lot more. Changes in it are subtle, but they are. If you shoot someone at GO, he won’t even flinch. Yes, the blood whips, the sound is reproduced accordingly (if the distance allows), but it will continue to stand still. What made the developers remove this animation is not clear.
