Valve paid over 11,000 USD to CS: GO player for bug report

The CS: GO player received an award of more than $ 11,000 from Valve for notifying the company of the game’s vulnerabilities in the shooter. This was announced on Twitter by insider Don Haci.

Don Haci:

“That’s why you need to report bugs in CS: GO, and not use them. My friend 2Eggs received a $ 11,250 reward from Valve through HackerOne for reporting critical bugs that were fixed and resolved. ”

According to information on the HackerOne website, the user actually received two payments from Valve: the first – in the amount of $ 1,500, and the second – in $ 9,750.

With each update in CS: GO, developers fix various bugs. The latest update was October 8th. In the game there was a manual adjustment of the color of the sight when pointing the weapon at an ally, as well as animation when choosing a knife. Read more about this here.
